We are delighted to have received special recognition for our ESG efforts in the £1bn+ AUM category at this year’s British Private Equity & Venture Capital Awards. We take seriously our responsibilities as a custodian of financial and human capital. We are committed to keeping ESG fully embedded within our investment strategy and to maintaining it as a core part of our identity. We recognise that there is an urgent need to accelerate the transition towards global net zero emissions, combat greenwashing and deliver against international climate goals across all investee companies and their supply chains.
We were also very pleased that our portfolio company Hawksmoor won the ‘Excellence in ESG’ award. Hawksmoor is an operator of steak restaurants, with its recently certified B Corp Status confirming an impressive level of ESG maturity. The judges praised its waste and recycling programme, its carbon-neutral status, and its engagement across the supply chain to drive ESG/value improvements. Congratulations to Hawksmoor and Omar Kayat, Senior Partner at Graphite Capital, who collected the award for Graphite.
