Nurture is a leading provider of grounds maintenance, landscape construction and gritting services. Nurture is a Royal Warrant holder and has won multiple industry awards for the quality of its service. The company is headquartered in Surrey and achieves national coverage from 45 sites, employing over 1,500 staff and operating a fleet of over 920 vehicles.

Nurture operates in a £1.6 billion addressable market which is growing steadily. It has a large, blue-chip and diverse customer base, with some of the most prestigious ground and garden maintenance contracts in the UK, including at the Richmond Park, Windsor Castle and the Tate Gallery. It has been built to its current scale both via significant multi-year contract wins with large customers and through the acquisition of regional grounds maintenance and landscaping businesses.

Graphite is working with Nurture’s majority family shareholders to continue its programme of new contract wins and regional acquisitions. The market remains fragmented and acquisitions are available at relatively low multiples and offer significant synergies. Since Graphite’s investment, Nurture has completed over 20 acquisitions, including a strategic platform in pest control, a new service area. We are also helping the company improve its governance and reporting structures.
