Hawksmoor opens its third international restaurant in Chicago

In June 2024, Hawksmoor opened its 13th restaurant, in Chicago. Located in the former LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse building, a three-storey space that was first opened in 1887 in the heyday of the city’s cable car system. Founder Will Beckett said, “Our long-held dream of opening a restaurant in this magnificent city has finally come true and we can’t wait to welcome you all to the beautifully restored LaSalle Powerhouse. As ever, we’ll be serving all-natural charcoal-cooked beef steaks, locally sourced seafood and the very best small-farm produce.”
