New World Trading Company, an operator of bars and restaurants, has opened its 31st site in the heart of Sheffield. The Furnace, the company’s eighth brand, is inspired by the city’s industrial heritage and is the first to launch under the leadership of CEO, Jesper Friis, who joined in April last year. Despite the pandemic, New World Trading Company has continued its rapid expansion, adding four new sites since the beginning of 2020. It has a strong pipeline of further openings, with three more expected in the second half of 2021.
