Higher Ed International
Higher Education International (“HEI”) partners with universities in the UK and continental Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East to expand access to high-quality higher education through technology-aided learning. Operating regionally as The HEP Network, the company has the expertise and the technology to launch and manage online degree programmes for universities, with its services including academic support, marketing, student recruitment, support and retention.
We have backed a talented and ambitious management team with a decade’s experience of developing Academic Partnerships, a leading US online programme manager. The group has already partnered with universities across the UK and continental Europe, South America and Central America, and has an extensive global business development pipeline.
Online students include full-time professionals who enrol in a post-graduate course to boost their career options and ‘late access’ students seeking higher education later in life to enter the job market or change career direction, often through professional courses, such as nursing. In addition, domestic and international students are attracted by the affordability and greater convenience of online learning.
The online higher education fundamentals are very attractive, with the global market forecast to more than double from $36 billion in 2019 to $74 billion in 2025. This, in turn, is forecast to underpin strong further growth for the OPM market, from $3.9 billion in 2020 to $9.9 billion in 2025.
