Services and Distribution

Graphite has invested in a variety of service industries, including recruitment, outsourcing, leasing and facilities management. We have also had a longstanding interest in specialist distribution businesses.

With our backing from an early stage, a number of recruitment and staffing businesses have grown into substantial players in their markets. We recently sold Huntress in a secondary buy-out, having backed its start-up in 2000. We are currently invested in Aktrion, a staffing business, NES Group, a technical recruitment company and TMP Worldwide, the UK’s leading recruitment advertising business. Most recently, we backed the secondary buy-out of Alexander Mann Solutions, a leading recruitment process outsourcing provider.

Our specialist distribution investments have included Computacenter, which we took from an early stage to flotation in 1998, and Equanet, another leading IT distributor, which we sold to DSG. We are currently growing Micheldever Tyre Services, the UK's largest tyre distributor, organically and through acquisitions.
